Ray was called to the Bar in 2001 and is the Chair of the Family Law Group.
He dedicates his practice exclusively to family law and related matters, bringing twenty plus years of experience to his passionate advocacy for his clients.
Ray has gained extensive Trial experience arguing family law matters at all levels of Court in Ontario, including the Ontario Court of Appeal, Divisional Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice and Ontario Court of Justice.
His practice also includes representing clients in various forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution, such as mediations and arbitrations. Ray is qualified as a mediator and arbitrator and is fully accomplished in using all alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes to obtain settlement before taking matters before the courts. Ray regularly participates in panels and lectures for continuing legal education. He appreciates the frequent invitations he has accepted to speak at conferences and seminars through the Law Society of Ontario and the Ontario Bar Association. His work has been published in Canadian Family Law Quarterly. He enjoys being able to mentor several junior family lawyers within and outside of the firm.
Ray is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Ontario Bar Association, Durham Region Law Association and The Advocates’ Society . He was an inaugural appointment to the Dispute Resolution Officer (DRO) Panel for Oshawa, Ontario in 2011.
