
Melania is an associate in the Firm’s estates and trusts department. She understands the sensitive nature of estates matters and brings a thoughtful, client-focused approach grounded in empathy. With a background in public policy and a strong commitment to expanding access to justice, Melania is a dedicated advocate who strives to achieve meaningful and effective outcomes.
Melania Soudouk earned a Master’s degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Guelph in (2021), during which she published a research paper on sexual assault sentencing. She subsequently received her JD from Osgoode Hall Law School (2024) and was called to the bar (2025) after completing her articles at a boutique estates firm in Toronto.
During law school, Melania served as an associate editor for the Osgoode Hall Law Journal and worked as a student caseworker at Parkdale Community Legal Services, where she successfully represented clients before the Social Benefits Tribunal. Melania also served as an executive member for the Osgoode Women’s Network (OWN), where she focused on professional development and event planning.
Her passion for elder law and estates began while volunteering with the Pro Bono Students Canada GTA Wills Project, drafting wills and powers of attorney for underserved community members. She later became a project leader, collaborating with Toronto estates lawyers and students from Osgoode and the University of Toronto to expand access to essential estate planning services.
