  • Michael

    Michael F. Head

    Mike is the senior partner at Walker, Head and one of its founding partners. He is also the Chair of the firm’s Civil Litigation Group. Mike's areas of practice include personal injury, professional negligence, class actions, civil litigation and employment law.

    Mike has extensive experience in personal injury litigation with particular emphasis on serious motor vehicle collisions, catastrophic injuries, brain injuries and spinal cord injuries.

    Many lawyers throughout Ontario retain Mike to assist them with their complicated files. Mike has also been retained by The Law Society of Upper Canada to provide his professional opinion and expertise in matters relating to serious injury litigation.

    Mike is certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a Specialist in Civil Litigation. He is also named as one of the best lawyers in Canada in the area of Personal Injury Litigation, by The Best Lawyers in Canada publication in 2007.

    Mike served as President of The Advocates’ Society of Ontario and remains an active member. He is a leading member of the litigation Bar in Ontario, has taught trial advocacy and participates in many continuing legal education programs. He has also served as President of the Head Injury Association of Durham and the Ajax-Pickering United Way.

    Mike has built his expertise and reputation over the past 30 years by handling an extremely busy litigation practice and supervising an exceptional team of lawyers and support staff.

    Mr. Head has been recognized by his peers and lawyers across Canada as one of "THE BEST LAWYERS IN CANADA" in personal injury litigation and product liability law. He is also identified in the 2010 edition of "The Best Lawyers in Canada".

    Victor A. Sgro

    Victor is a senior partner at Walker, Head and one of its founding partners. He is also the Chair of the firm’s Business Law Group. Victor’s areas of practice include corporate law, business succession planning, debtor/creditor law, security enforcement and intellectual property law.

    Victor represents numerous private corporations on asset and share purchase transactions, joint ventures, corporate reorganizations, and capital restructurings and is a registered trademark agent.

    Victor has over 25 years of experience working with clients in a wide variety of industries, including consumer products, equipment, financial services, food, health care, entertainment and marketing services.

  • Andrew

    Andrew D. Felker

    Andrew articled with Walker, Head and joined the firm upon his call to the Bar. Andrew is a partner at Walker, Head and is also the firm’s wills and estates lawyer. Andrew practices exclusively in the area of wills, estates and estate litigation. He is certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a specialist in Estates and Trusts Law.

    Andrew has extensive experience representing individuals, executors, beneficiaries and attorneys under a power of attorney, in the areas of Will drafting (including provisions for disabled beneficiaries), powers of attorney, trust documents, incapacity issues (Henson Trusts), estate administration, guardianship issues and estate litigation, including Will interpretations, passing of estate accounts and dependant support proceedings.

    Andrew has conducted many trials and has appeared before the Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court and the Ontario Court of Appeal.

    Andrew is on the Board of Directors for the Durham Region Law Association and is also the Chair of Education for the Association. As well, Andrew frequently presents seminars in the local community regarding Wills and Estates issues.

  • Kyle

    Kyle C. Armagon

    Kyle articled with Walker, Head and became an associate with the firm upon his call to the Bar. 

    He has a broad civil litigation practice with an emphasis on employment law which includes:

  • review of severance packages
  • wrongful dismissal litigation
  • non-competition/non-solicitation agreements
  • Human rights complaints
  • His civil litigation experience includes shareholder/partnership disputes, real estate litigation, commercial matters and personal injury claims.

    Kyle has conducted numerous trials before the Superior Court of Justice and has appeared before the Federal Court of Canada and the Ontario Court of Appeal.  In addition, he has represented clients before the Human Right Tribunal of Ontario and the Ministry of Labour.

    Kyle currently serves as a Director and Past Chair of the Durham Community Foundation.

  • Paul

    Paul S. Przybylo

    Paul articled with Walker, Head and became an associate with the firm upon his call to the Bar. Paul is a member of the firm’s Business Law Group and Real Estate and Municipal Law Group.

    Paul has experience with a variety of corporate matters including incorporations, review and drafting of commercial agreements and leases, shareholders agreements, purchase and sale agreements and intellectual property licences.

    Paul is an active member of the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade and serves as a director on the Durham Region Transit Advisary Committee.

  • Drew

    E. Drew Dowling

    Drew is the senior real estate lawyer at Walker, Head. He is also the Chair of the firm’s Real Estate and Municipal Law Group. Drew’s areas of practice include commercial real estate, mortgage financing, expropriations, land planning and municipal law.

    Drew represents a broad range of public and private sector clients, including real estate developers and government agencies. He has extensive experience in land development, plans of subdivision, land division and severances, minor variances and Ontario Municipal Board matters.

    Drew has also been a faculty member at Durham College for over 15 years where he is a Professor in the Legal Administration/Law Clerk Program.

    Drew recently served as President of the Kinsmen Club of Oshawa and has been actively involved in that organization since 1989. In 2007, Drew received a 15 year Ontario Volunteer Service Award from the Province of Ontario in connection with his membership in the Kinsmen Club of Oshawa.

    Drew’s dedication to teaching and to the field of real estate law has led to him being a well respected Professor and a first class real estate lawyer.

  • Raymond

    Raymond A. Goddard

    Raymond A. Goddard is the Chair of the Family Law group at Walker Head Lawyers and practices in all areas of family law. Ray was called to the Ontario Bar in 2001.   

     Ray practices exclusively in the area of family law.  He helps his clients resolve their family law issues sensitively and wisely through options such as: negotiation, mediation, arbitration or Court.  Ray makes every effort to resolve matters efficiently, fairly and without having to resort to litigation.  Where there are no other options, he is thorough and persuasive for his clients in Court.

     With experience across the full spectrum of family law issues, Ray helps clients renegotiate their important relationships allowing them to move forward with their lives.

    Ray was recently (April 2011) honoured  with an inaugural appointment to the Dispute Resolution Officer (DRO) Panel for Oshawa. This appointment was made by the Senior Family Justice for Ontario (The Honourable Madam Justice Mary J. Hatton) and the Regional Senior Judge for the Central East Judicial Region of Ontario (The Honourable Mr. Justice Michael Brown). Lawyers appointed to this Panel function to support the family law court process by aiding couples in attempts to resolve their issues before their case proceeds before a Judge.

    He brings a necessary capacity to identify client’s needs, interests and values in the ever challenging and changing area of family law.

    Ray is also an avid golfer and skier.

    Christine M. Galea

    Christine’s practice is restricted to civil and regulatory litigation.  She represents clients in claims involving personal injury, abuse and sexual assault, breach of contract, negligence, product liability, estate litigation, Small Claims Court and various government tribunal matters. 

    Christine is a member of the Animal Legal Defense Fund and BNI Power Networkers.  She is also a legal columnist for Encompass Magazine.

    Outside of the office, Christine enjoys golf, yoga, antique-collecting and reading biographies.

    Janice Ho

    Janice is an associate with Walker, Head and was called to the bar in 2008. Janice practices exclusively in Family Law.

  • Domenic

    Domenic Tagliola

    Domenic Tagliola was called to the Bar of the Province of Ontario in 1995 after having receiving his B.A. from York University and his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School. Domenic’s areas of practice are restricted to estates-related matters. He has extensive experience working with clients to achieve their estate planning objectives and goals.

    Domenic frequently speaks on Wills and Estates issues with particular reference to the need and importance of a sound and legally binding estates plan.
